Super Bowl XLIX posts highest overnight rating in game's history
The New England Patriots' victory over the Seattle Seahawks earned the highest overnight rating in Super Bowl history, NBC announced on Monday.
The Patriots rallied from a 10-point deficit in the fourth quarter to win their fourth Super Bowl in the last 14 years.
According to NBC, Super Bowl XLIX drew a 49.7 household rating and a 72 percent share. Both numbers are higher than last year's overnight ratings of 47.6 and 70 for the Seahawks' win over the Denver Broncos.
