The Cincinnati Bengals and Cleveland Browns are set to kick off Week 9 of the NFL season on Thursday night, as the Bengals attempt to continue their undefeated streak. The Carolina Panthers, Denver Broncos and New England Patriots are the only other remaining unbeaten teams in the league.

• The Indianapolis Colts announced they have fired offensive coordinator Pep Hamilton. Assistant head coach Rod Chudzinski will take over for Hamilton.

• San Diego Chargers wide receiver Keenan Allen will miss the rest of the season with a kidney injury, reports ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

• The Dallas Cowboys have cut running back Joseph Randle, reports Clarence Hill of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram.

• The Browns announced that quarterback Johnny Manziel will start on Thursday against the Bengals.

• Former NFL quarterback Brady Quinn told CBS Sports that he believes HGH use could be responsible for the recent increase in injuries in the league.

• The San Francisco 49ers have signed running back Pierre Thomas, according to his agent, Lamont Smith.

• The St. Louis Rams plan to change the concrete surface behind team benches in the Edward Jones Dome, reports Mike Garafolo of Fox Sports. Browns quarterback Josh McCown and 49ers running back Reggie Bush were injured on the surface in consecutive weeks.

• The NFL announced it will play one game per season over the next three years at London’s Twickenham Stadium.
