In this story:

Dallas Wings guard Azzi Fudd has missed the team's last two games with a right knee issue, but she returned to practice in a "full" capacity on Tuesday ahead of the Wings' matchup with the Toronto Tempo.

Officially, Fudd is listed as questionable for Wednesday night's game while the Wings have ruled out star forward Jessica Shepard.

This season, Fudd has appeared in 30 of the Wings' 33 games, but she dealt with various knee issues in her collegiate career at UConn, so it makes sense that the Wings are playing things safe with the No. 1 overall pick.

Dallas has dropped three games in a row and currently holds the No. 8 seed in the league, so it certainly would love to get Fudd back in the lineup sooner rather than later. The fact that she was able to go through a full practice bodes well for her chances of playing on Wednesday.

Even though Fudd's status is still up in the air and Shepard is out, the Wings are 9.5-point favorites at home in this game. Toronto has dropped nine games in a row and is one of the worst defensive teams in the league this season.

So, if Fudd does play, this could be a big game for the rookie guard. In her first WNBA season, Fudd is averaging 13.1 points, 1.7 rebounds and 1.8 assists per game while shooting 45.6 percent from the field and 39.7 percent from 3-point range.

Since Fudd is questionable, I'm targeting Wings guard Paige Bueckers for my top player prop in this matchup. If Fudd plays, she could be worth a look as well against this soft Toronto defense.

Best Dallas Wings Prop Bet vs. Toronto Tempo

Odds via DraftKings Sportsbook

  • Paige Bueckers OVER 22.5 Points (-121)

In today's betting preview for the Tempo vs. Wings matchup, I shared why I'm backing Bueckers to clear her points prop:

This season, Bueckers is averaging 20.1 points per game while shooting 51.1 percent from the field and 39.3 percent from beyond the arc.

The former No. 1 overall pick is taking 15.1 shots per game for the second season in a row, and she may need to be more aggressive if the Wings want to snap their three-game skid on Wednesday night.

Bueckers has thrived against Toronto in two meetings this season, scoring 22 points and 34 points while shooting a combined 22-for-38 from the field. This prop is asking her to clear her season average, but the Tempo are the worst defensive team in the league, ranking dead last in both defensive rating and opponent points per game.

After a 23-point showing in a loss to Minnesota on Sunday, Bueckers could be in line for a big game against a much weaker opponent.
