The upcoming season for the Miami Dolphins could be a disaster if Week 1 of the preseason was any indication. They're already expected to have one of the worst records in the NFL, but then they lost 20-7 to the Washington Commanders. On the surface, that doesn't look like a big deal, but when you realize the Dolphins played their starters for a significant portion of the game and the Commanders only played their backups, it looks worse.

The Dolphins will now take on the New York Giants in Week 2 of the preseason, who also suffered a loss in Week 1, losing to the Vikings 13-10.

There's going to be plenty of openings at wide receiver for the Miami Dolphins this season, which should lead to plenty of opportunities for their young players, including Caleb Douglas, who was the team's third-round draft pick out of Texas Tech. He hauled in one reception for 28 yards in their first preseason game against the Commanders.

If you've blindly bet on John Harbaugh-led teams in the preseason over the past two decades, you'd be up quite a bit of money. He's the king of preseason, going 47-17 against the spread as the Ravens' head coach. He failed to cover the spread in his first exhibition game as head coach of the Giants, but he has the preseason history that's strong enough for me to bet on the Giants in this spot, especially considering how bad the Dolphins looked with their starters in Week 1.
