In this story:

Napheesa Collier, Olivia Miles and the Minnesota Lynx are fresh off of a monster weekend with wins over Las Vegas and Dallas, keeping them atop the standings in the WNBA.

Minnesota now hits the road on Wednesday night for a matchup with the Portland Fire, who have won two games in a row themselves and still have an outside shot to make the playoffs.

Portland has been solid when set as a home underdog, going 6-5 against the spread this season. But, oddsmakers aren’t projecting this game to be close.

Minnesota is favored by double digits on Wednesday, and it already has two wins over the Fire this season, including one by 33 points (at home).

Does that carry over to a road date tonight? The Lynx are a league-best 13-2 on the road in the 2026 season.

Here’s a look at the odds, a player prop to bet and my prediction for this Western Conference clash.

Lynx vs. Fire Best WNBA Prop Bets

Lynx Best WNBA Prop Bet

  • Napheesa Collier OVER 7.5 Rebounds (-123)

Earlier today, I shared in my WNBA Best Bets column – Peter’s Points – why I’m buying Collier as a rebounder against Portland:

This season, Collier is averaging 7.3 rebounds per game across seven games, but she’s picked up at least eight boards in four of those matchups.

Since Collier started playing over 30 minutes per game (her last four games), she’s pulled down eight rebounds exactly in three of those matchups. The All-WNBA forward averaged over eight rebounds per game in the 2023 and 2024 seasons, so she’s more than capable of clearing this prop on Wednesday night.

The Fire are just 13th in the WNBA in rebound percentage, which sets up well for the Lynx and Collier. I expect the star forward to continue her strong play since the franchise has extended her minutes. Collier missed the start of the season with an ankle injury, but she’s still averaging 19.0 points, 7.3 rebounds and 3.6 assists per game while shooting 51.0 percent from the field and 50.0 percent from 3.

Lynx vs. Fire Prediction and Pick

After back-to-back wins by double digits against Las Vegas and Dallas, the Lynx are heavily favored against a Portland team that is 6-5 against the spread when set as an underdog at home.

Portland has struggled with the Lynx this season, losing by 33 points and eight points in their first two meetings (both in Minnesota).

However, the Lynx have actually been better against the spread when favored on the road, going a league best 7-5 with an average scoring margin of plus-11.3 points per game.

Even though the Fire have won back-to-back games and hold the No. 9 seed in the W, they are still 12th in the league in net rating and 13th in defensive rating. Minnesota is No. 1 and No. 3 in those respective categories.

Portland has yet to face the Lynx at full strength with Napheesa Collier in action, and Minnesota has been a dominant team on the road, winning 13 of 15 games.

I’ll lay the points in this matchup, as the Lynx look to tighten their grip on the No. 1 seed in the league.

Pick: Lynx -12.5 (-110 at DraftKings)
