Mariners vs. Yankees Prediction, Odds, Probable Pitchers, Prop Bets for Tuesday, Aug. 11

In this story:
Both the Seattle Mariners and New York Yankees have been spiraling, and now the two teams will face each other in a three-game American League series. The Mariners have lost four straight and are now 4.5 games back from the Houston Astros in the American League West. The Yankees have also stumbled and are now six games back from the Tampa Bay Rays in the American League East.
Let's dive into the odds and my best bets for tonight's series opener.

Mariners vs. Yankees Best MLB Prop Bet
- Bryan Woo OVER 6.5 Strikeouts (+120)
The Yankees have had plenty of offensive issues lately, and one of those issues is their strikeout rate. Over the past 30 days, they have a strikeout rate of 26.6%, which is the second-highest rate in all of baseball in that time frame. Bryan Woo has reached 7+ strikeouts in two of his last four starts, so let's bet on him to go over that number again tonight.
Mariners vs. Yankees Prediction and Best Bet
In today's edition of Betting $100 Every Day for a Year, I broke down why I'm betting the UNDER in tonight's American League showdown:
We go from one game that features two of the hottest offenses in baseball to a game featuring two of the coldest. The New York Yankees are 29th in baseball in wRC+ over the past 30 days. The Los Angeles Angels are the only team that has been worse offensively in the past month. The Mariners are 17th in that time frame, but their stock is hurt tonight by the fact they have to face a lefty starter in Ryan Weathers. The Mariners' numbers fall off when facing lefties, with their wRC+ falling from 103 to 90.
As a cherry on top, the two bullpens in this game rank first and eighth in ERA, so I don't expect many late runs. Let's bet the UNDER.
