Walk-Off Wagers: MLB Best Bets Today (Predictions for Braves-Diamondbacks, Mets-Giants and More)

In this story:
There's only three MLB games set to take place today, so we have to take advantage of the few opportunities we have to place some bets.
In today's edition of Walk-Off Wagers, I have a bet locked in for each game, including a bet on this afternoon's AL Central showdown between the Minnesota Twins and Kansas City Royals. Let's dive into them.
Best MLB Bets Today
- Twins +136 vs. Royals
- Braves/Diamondbacks OVER 9 (-105)
- Mets/Giants UNDER 7.5 (-110)
Twins vs. Royals Prediction
I think there's some value on the Twins as underdogs in this spot. Their offensive numbers haven't been as bad as their record indicates. In fact, they have a .669 OPS through their first handful of games, which ranks 17th in Major League Baseball, and only a step below the Royals at .719.
While I do think Ragans is a great strikeout candidate tonight, I don't trust his ability to keep runs off the board. Whereas Taj Bradley impressed in his first start of the season, and if he carries that momentum into this afternoon, he could record his first win of 2026.
I'll take a shot on the Twins as road underdogs in this one.
Pick: Twins +136
Braves vs. Diamondbacks Prediction
The Braves and the Diamondbacks have both been hot offensively to start the season. The Braves rank eighth in OPS at .721, and the Diamondbacks aren't far behind, ranking 12th in that metric at .713.
We also have a couple of unknown factors on the mound. Ryne Nelson gets the start for the Diamondbacks, who had a solid 3.39 ERA last season, but he gave up four earned runs in 4.2 innings in his first start in 2026. Reynaldo Lopez gets the start for the Braves. He have seen him pitch a combined 11 innings across the past two seasons, so I'm not ready to have complete faith in him after a strong first start.
Let's sit back and root for runs tonight.
Pick: OVER 9 (-105)
Mets vs. Giants Prediction
The Giants' offense has been horrific to start the season. They have a batting average of .201 and an OPS of .558, which is 29th in all of baseball. The Mets' offense has also gotten off to a slow start, ranking 20th in OPS despite spending the money in the offseason to improve their lineup, including bringing in Bo Bichette from the Blue Jays.
David Peterson and Robbie Ray will start on the mound tonight, and both lefties are coming off a strong first performance. Let's see if they can keep their momentum going tonight.
Pick: UNDER 7.5 (-110)
