The Las Vegas Aces are set to play their third game in four days on Tuesday night, but this time they’ll be back at home to face the surging Washington Mystics.

Washington has won seven games in a row and has established itself as a clear playoff team in 2026. The Mystics are led by Shakira Austin and a young core featuring Sonia Citron, Kiki Iriafen, Lauren Betts and more, ranking No. 2 in the WNBA in defensive rating.

Washington blew out the Phoenix Mercury on Sunday to extend its winning streak, yet oddsmakers have set it as a sizable underdog in Vegas.

The weekend was a nightmare for the Aces, who fell out of the No. 2 spot in the W with losses to Minnesota and New York. Becky Hammon decided to sit A’ja Wilson, Jackie Young and Chelsea Gray on Sunday against the Liberty, so they should be a full go on Tuesday night.

Can the Aces get back on track and make a push for the No. 2 seed in the league?

Here’s a look at the betting odds, a player prop to consider and my prediction on Aug. 11.

Mystics vs. Aces Best WNBA Prop Bets

Aces Best WNBA Prop Bet

  • A’ja Wilson OVER 24.5 Points (-123)

A’ja Wilson is averaging 26.3 points per game in the 2026 season while shooting 52.3 percent from the field and 42.9 percent from 3-point range.

The reigning league MVP is arguably the best scorer in the league, and she torched Washington for 38 points in their last meeting. The Mystics are the No. 2 defense in the WNBA this season, but Wilson is pretty much matchup proof because of her all-around scoring prowess.

After all, the three-time champion has scored at least 26 points in six of her last eight games, averaging 28.3 per game during that stretch. Wilson is also taking 17.7 shots per game, which is one more than she did in the 2025 season.

I think this line is way too low for the four-time MVP on Tuesday night.

Mystics vs. Aces Prediction and Pick

Earlier today, I shared in my WNBA Best Bets column – Peter’s Points – why Washington is undervalued as a road underdog:

There are too many trends lining up in Washington’s favor on Tuesday night, especially with oddsmakers setting the Aces as big favorites.

Las Vegas lost the last meeting between these teams, and it has struggled a bit when favored at home, going just 7-7 against the spread.

Meanwhile, the Mystics have won seven games in a row and have been absolutely dynamite when set as underdogs in 2026.

Washington is 7-3 against the spread as a road underdog and 16-4 against the numbers as an underdog overall. Now, the Mystics are getting multiple possessions against an Aces team that is playing a third game in four nights.

Over the last 10 games, Washington has the fourth-best net rating in the WNBA while the Aces clock in at 10th. I am not willing to predict a Mystics upset, but I do think they’re in a great spot to cover on Tuesday night.

Pick: Mystics +7.5 (-110 at DraftKings)
