National Championship Opening Odds: Michigan, Arizona Favored in Hypothetical Matchups

The Final Four is officially set and it's scheduled to take place on Saturday night.

One side of the bracket will feature a game between a 2-seed UConn Huskies and a 3-seed Illinois Fighting Illini. The other national semifinal will be a matchup between the two final 1-seeds, the Michigan Wolverines and Arizona Wildcats.

We don't yet know which two teams will face off in the National Championship, but FanDuel Sportsbook has already released odds for the four potential matchups. As you would likely expect, the winner of Michigan vs. Arizona will be favored, no matter their opponents.

If the Wildcats face Illinois in the final, it will be their third straight game against an Illinois opponent after facing Purdue and Michigan. This matchup would be an interesting showdown between a three-point shooting team in Illinois and a two-point shooting team in Arizona. This game has the lowest spread of the four potential matchups.

This would be just the fourth time in program history, and the first time in the NCAA Tournament, that these two teams have met.
