The Baltimore Orioles are looking to avoid a sweep at the hands of the Texas Rangers on Wednesday afternoon, and they’ll have their No. 1 starter – Trevor Rogers – on the mound.

Rogers tossed seven scoreless innings in a win over the Minnesota Twins earlier this season, and he’s taking on Rangers righty Nathan Eovaldi in Wednesday’s matchup.

Eovaldi was touched up for eight hits, five runs and a pair of homers in his 2026 debut, which has led oddsmakers to set the O’s as small favorites at home.

Rogers had a strong 2025 season, finishing ninth in the AL Cy Young voting, but can he keep that rolling in 2026?

Let’s take a look at the odds, a player prop to bet and my prediction for Wednesday’s contest.

  • Gunnar Henderson to Hit a Home Run (+424)

Every day at SI Betting, we share our top home run props, and Gunnar Henderson made the cut for me on Wednesday:

Gunnar Henderson hit his first homer of the season in the series opener against the Texas Rangers, and now he takes on righty Nathan Eovaldi on Wednesday, who is coming off a rough 2026 debut.

Eovaldi allowed eight hits, five runs and two homers in his first start this season, and he’s been prone to the long ball before, allowing 23 in 29 appearances back in 2024. Last season, Eovaldi made just 22 starts and allowed just 10 homers, but history suggests that this is a favorable matchup for the Orioles shortstop.

Henderson is hitting .714 (5-for-7) with a double off of Eovaldi in his career. The O’s star has just six hits in five games, but two of those have gone for extra bases. I think he’s worth a look at this price against a pitcher he’s thrived against in his young career.

Rangers vs. Orioles Prediction and Pick

I’m going to back the O’s to salvage the final game of this three-game set on Wednesday afternoon.

Texas has gotten off to a strong start at the dish, ranking in the top-10 in MLB in OPS, but Rogers has really found his form from 2021 when he was an All-Star and second in the NL Rookie of the Year voting.

The lefty had a 1.81 ERA in 18 starts last season, and the O’s went 13-5 in his outings. Since Baltimore made some upgrades to the roster in the offseason, I’d expect it to continue to win at a high rate when Rogers is on the mound.

Meanwhile, Eovaldi had an injury-riddled 2025 season and was rocked by the Phillies in his first outing in 2026. Texas has not lost since that game, but it struggled against lefty Cristopher Sanchez (six scoreless innings) on Opening Day. I wouldn’t be shocked to see Rogers get the best of this Texas lineup on Wednesday.

Pick: Orioles Moneyline (-115 at DraftKings)
