Rays vs. Tigers Prediction, Odds, Probable Pitchers, Prop Bets for Monday, Aug. 24

In this story:
The Tampa Bay Rays and Detroit Tigers are both looking to get back on track before the end of August.
It’s not too dire for the Rays, who snapped a three-game losing streak with a win on Sunday in Baltimore, but the Tigers are seeing their playoff hopes slip away. Detroit lost its last five games and eight of its last nine to fall to 61-69.
The Rays are looking for some revenge after getting swept by the Tigers in Tampa Bay back in June.
Here are the odds, probable pitchers, and predictions for Rays vs. Tigers on Monday, Aug. 24.

Rays vs. Tigers Best MLB Prop Bets
Tigers Best MLB Prop Bet
- Framber Valdez OVER 1.5 Walks Allowed (-146)
Valdez has been struggling with his control all season long, and particularly as of late. He’s issued at least two free passes in each of his last six starts, including four and five in his last two.
The southpaw has now allowed two or more walks in 20 of 25 starts this season, and the Rays have to know that.
Rays vs. Tigers Prediction and Pick
While both of these teams are struggling, Detroit’s troubles are more worrisome given its deadline activity. And, of course, Tampa Bay still has one of the best records in the league.
The Rays are also an impressive 23-13 vs. LHP like Valdez this season, and they solved their road woes a few weeks ago to get up to a 34-30 away record on the year.
Pick: Rays -124
