Victor Wembanyama and the San Antonio Spurs are just 2.5 games out of first place in the Western Conference, and they have a chance to gain some ground on the Oklahoma City Thunder on Wednesday.

The Spurs are favored by 13.5 points on the road on Wednesday night against the Golden State Warriors, who remain without Steph Curry (knee).

Golden State has slipped to the No. 10 seed in the Western Conference and has a brutal 13-23 record this season when Curry is out of the lineup.

So, oddsmakers are viewing this as a great spot for the Spurs to add to their nine-game winning streak.

Victor Wembanyama OVER 11.5 Rebounds (-131)

Earlier today, I shared in my NBA Best Bets column – Peter’s Points – why Wemby is a great target against this Golden State frontcourt:

San Antonio Spurs star Victor Wembanyama is making his case for the league’s MVP award down the stretch of the regular season, and he’s turned in some massive rebounding performances in the process.

Wemby is coming off a 16-rebound game in a win over the Chicago Bulls on Monday, and he’s pulled down 12 or more boards in seven of his last nine games. The former No. 1 overall pick has 15 or more boards in four straight, making him an exciting prop choice against the Golden State Warriors on Wednesday.

Golden State is just 22nd in the NBA in rebound percentage this season, and Wembanyama has cleared 11.5 boards in two of his three meetings with the Warriors this season. He’s grabbed at least nine boards in every game against them, giving him a solid floor entering Wednesday’s contest.

After recording the third-fastest double-double in NBA history on Monday, Wemby is a worthwhile prop target in this Western Conference clash.

Spurs vs. Warriors Prediction and Pick

Golden State is extremely short-handed once again on Wednesday with Curry, Horford, Melton, Moody and others out of the lineup.

The Warriors took the first two meetings with the Spurs early in the 2025-26 season, but they lost by 13 back on Feb. 11 with Curry out of the lineup.

San Antonio has been rolling since the All-Star break, going 19-2 with an NBA-best +14.2 net rating. The Spurs are also one of the best road teams in the league, going 22-15-1 against the spread this season.

Even though this is a major number for the Spurs to cover, they have won five consecutive games by 15 or more points. I think they'll make quick work of Golden State on Wednesday.
