Manny Pacquiao will have surgery to repair a torn rotator cuff in his right shoulder, Los Angeles-based sports medicine surgeon Dr. Neal ElAttrache said, according to ESPN's Dan Rafael

Pacquiao revealed the injury after Saturday's fight against Floyd Mayweather, saying he asked to receive an anti-inflammatory shot to relieve some of the discomfort but had his request denied by the Nevada Athletic Commission just before the fight.

"You know, this training camp, I thought we were planning to postpone our event," Pacquiao said after the fight. "It had been two weeks I didn't train good, or I didn't use my right hand."
