Tickets for the Muhammad Ali memorial service in Louisville sold out in under an hour, reports Arash Markazi of ESPN.
The 15,000 tickets that were made available to the public for the service at the KFC Yum! Center were originally scheduled to be made available at the box at 10 a.m. However, tickets were given away starting at 8:15 a.m. as crowds gathered in front of the arena.
The tickets were given away for free on a first come, first serve basis.
Some fans, including Jay Johnson of Cincinnati, waited in front of the arena overnight to receive a ticket.
