Suspended Texas guard Martez Walker withdraws from university

Suspended Texas guard Martez Walker has withdrawn from the university, the school announced on Thursday.

Walker was suspended indefinitely from the team after being charged with injury/dating violence for striking his girlfriend in a campus dormitory in September.

Five non-conference tournaments to watch in college hoops this year

Walker was arrested again the next week for criminal trespass after he allegedly revisited the dorm where the altercation occurred.

Walker averaged 4.7 points and 2.3 rebounds in 12.7 minutes per game as a freshman last season.
