Georgetown College coach says Kentucky could beat NBA teams

Monday November 10th, 2014

Georgetown College coach Chris Briggs said he felt Kentucky could have beat an NBA team after the Wildcats beat his team 121-52 on Sunday.

"They could have beaten some NBA teams tonight," Briggs said after the game. "There's no doubt in my mind."

Kentucky is the preseason No. 1 team in the country. In the exhibition win, seven Wildcats finished in double figures.

Sophomore guard Aaron Harrison led Kentucky with 17 points.

Kentucky coach John Calipari pushed back against Briggs' comments, arguing that the Wildcats would not have a chance against an NBA team.

Briggs also said after the game that he doesn't foresee any team beating Kentucky this season. From

"Honestly, I don't see how they're going to be beat this year," Briggs said. "I hate to say that."
