Friday March 20th, 2015

Cincinnati forward Octavius Ellis was ejected from Thursday's NCAA tournament second-round game against Purdue for throwing an elbow at Boilermakers center A.J. Hammons

Early in the second half, Hammons started approaching the basket to go up for a rebound. Ellis turned around and elbowed him near his face.

Ellis was given a flagrant 2, resulting in an ejection. He had seven points, three rebounds, two steals and a block when he was sent to the locker room.

The winner of Cincinnati and Purdue will play the winner of Kentucky and Hampton on Saturday.
