Duke's Justise Winslow entering NBA draft
Over 38 games this season, Winslow averaged 12.7 points, 6.4 rebounds and 2.1 assists while shooting 49.0% from the field and 41.7% from three-point range.
The 6'6'' forward also was regarded as one of the top perimeter defenders in the country.
"We’re very happy for Justise and his family," coach Mike Krzyzewski said in a news release. "He had a sensational year, both on and off the court. He was an amazing factor for our success in winning the national championship.
"From everything we have found out, Justise is projected to be a high lottery pick and we believe that to be true. This is a great time to take advantage of this opportunity. We’re behind him all the way and love him and his family.”
The duo helped the Blue Devils finish second in the ACC, earn a No. 1 seed in the NCAA tournament and win the program's fifth national championship.
