Former Kansas State guard Marcus Foster transfers to Creighton

Sunday April 19th, 2015

Former Kansas State guard Marcus Foster will transfer to Creighton, he announced on Twitter Sunday. He will sit out next season and have two years of eligibility remaining.

Foster was dismissed by Wildcats coach Bruce Weber last month, shortly after the conclusion of his sophomore season. He was suspended in February for an unspecified violation of team rules and missed three games.

Foster averaged 15.5 points per game as a freshman and 12.5 points per game this season. He was a second team All-Big 12 selection as a freshman.

Creighton finished 14-19 this season and missed the NCAA tournament for the first time since 2011. Leading scorer Austin Chatman will graduate, as will point guard Devin Brooks. Third-leading scorer Isaiah Zierden is coming off his second straight season-ending knee injury.
