Four-star point guard Temple Gibbs commits to Notre Dame

Temple Gibbs, a heralded junior prospect who attends Seton Hall (N.J.) Prep, announced on Sunday that he has committed to Notre Dame.

Gibbs is the younger brother of former Pittsburgh guard Ashton Gibbs and Sterling Gibbs, who is transferring from Seton Hall.

Gibbs is the No. 66 player in the class of 2016, according to the recruiting website

The 6'3,'' 185-pound point guard turned down scholarship offers from Boston College, Virginia and St. John's, among other programs.

Last season, Gibbs averaged 19.2 points, 3.9 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 1.6 steals, according to MaxPreps.

Notre Dame finished 32-6 this season after falling to Kentucky in the Elite Eight.
