Three-star recruit Jalen McDaniels commits to San Diego State

Thursday September 10th, 2015

Jalen McDaniels, a three-star power forward from Federal Way, Washington, committed to San Diego State via a Twitter announcement on Wednesday night.

McDaniels, who is 6'9", 195 pounds, is ranked by Rivals as the 128th prospect in the Class of 2016.

His commitment to San Diego State may come as a surprise. In July, Washington offered McDaniels a spot in the Husky program, which would have allowed him to stay close to home. Yet only two weeks after visiting San Diego, McDaniels decided to commit to the Aztecs.

Under head coach Steve Fisher, the Aztecs have appeared in the NCAA Tournament in each of the last six years.
