Oklahoma State has hired Stephen F. Austin coach Brad Underwood, the school announced on Monday.

Underwood led the Lumberjacks to a 89–14 record and three NCAA tournament appearances in his three years on campus. He served as an assistant at Western Illinois, Kansas State and South Carolina before leaving to take his first coaching position at SFA.

A 14-seed in this year’s tournament, Stephen F. Austin upset No. 3 West Virginia in the first round, 70–56, before falling to No. 6 Notre Dame in the next round on a last-second tip-in.

On Saturday, Oklahoma State parted ways with head coach Travis Ford after eight seasons.
