Kaaya will get the start when the Canes take on Louisville in the season opener next Monday. According to head coach Al Golden, "it was a tight battle" between Kaaya and graduate student Jake Heaps. 

Golden: "He's not a freshman quarterback. He's the University of Miami quarterback."
