After months of speculation, college football is finally here. We'll soon have answers to some of the major questions of the offseason: Can Florida State defend its national title? Can Wisconsin make a run in the Big Ten? How will Texas A&M fare without Johnny Manziel?

Week 1 may not provide definitive answers, but it should at least offer some early indications. Plus, with several marquee games and even some conference showdowns, college football's opening weekend will begin to shape the race for the inaugural four-team playoff.
