Florida State's Chris Casher out vs. Oklahoma State with academic issue

Saturday August 30th, 2014

Florida State linebacker Chris Casher will not play in Saturday's season opener against Oklahoma State as FSU reviews an "academic related matter."

Casher, who had 25 tackles, five tackles for loss and two sacks last season, is listed as a starter at SAM linebacker on the team's depth chart.

Can Oklahoma State Pull Off an Upset of No. 1?

True freshman Jacob Pugh, the No. 7-ranked outside linebacker in the class of 2014, is listed as the backup at the position.

The Seminoles are ranked No. 1 in the preseason Associated Press Poll.
