Top five remains same in Coaches Poll; Clemson, South Carolina slide

Tuesday September 2nd, 2014

The top five remains unchanged in the new edition of the Coaches Poll released Tuesday.

Florida State, Alabama, Oklahoma, Oregon and Auburn lead off the poll for the second straight week. Michigan State moved up to No. 6, taking the spot previously held by Ohio State. Voters dropped the Buckeyes just one spot to No. 7 despite the loss of starting quarterback Braxton Miller for the season and shaky opening game performance against Navy.

The big fallers were Palmetto State rivals South Carolina and Clemson.
