Darius Fullwood, a defensive end from Olney, Md., announced Wednesday that he has verbally committed to Virginia Tech.

Fullwood had been committed to Kentucky, but he announced his decommitment from the Wildcats on Tuesday.

Fullwood is the No. 17 strongside defensive end in the class of 2015, according to rankings on the recruiting website Rivals.com.

He is the 16th player and fourth defensive lineman in the class of 2015 to commit to the Hokies.
