California and Auburn have agreed to a home-and-home football series, Cal announced Monday

California will visit Auburn’s Jordan-Hare Stadium on Sept. 21, 2019 and Auburn is set to play at California Memorial Stadium on Sept. 19, 2020.

The two schools have never faced each other in football. Auburn is 8-3 all-time against teams currently in the Pac-12 Conference, while Cal is 9-11-1 against Southeastern Conference foes.

“Over the past several years, we have been able to add several new opponents to our schedules that we believe our fans will enjoy seeing and our team will be excited to play,” interim director of athletics Mike Williams said. “As a traditional power from the Southeastern Conference, Auburn certainly fits that description and provides us another opportunity to face a school with a strong national profile.”

Cal’s non-conference schedule in the upcoming years includes  home-and-home slates against Texas, San Diego State (2015-16), North Carolina (2017-18) and TCU (2020-21).

Auburn opens its 2015 season against Louisville at the Georgia Dome and the Tigers also have a 2016 home date with Clemson on Sept. 3.

California (4-4. 2-4 Pac-12), beaten by Oregon 59-41 on Saturday, takes on Oregon State (4-3, 1-3 Pac-12) on Saturday. Fourth-ranked Auburn (6-1, 3-1 SEC) plays No. 7 Ole Miss (7-1, 4-1 SEC).
