Coach: Running back Todd Gurley to enter NFL draft
Friday December 26th, 2014

Georgia running back Todd Gurley will enter NFL Draft, Georgia coach Mark Richt confirmed to Seth Emerson of The Macon Telegraph.

Gurley tore the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) in his left knee in Georgia's 34-7 victory over Auburn on Nov. 15 and had surgery shortly after.

On Dec. 2, Richt said on his radio show that even with Gurley's injury, he thought he would "still be a very high draft pick in this draft."

Gurley rushed for 911 yards and scored nine touchdowns in six games this season. He was suspended for four games for accepting more than $3,000 for autographed memorabilia and other items.

Georgia went 9-3 this season and finished second in the SEC East. The team plays Louisville in the Belk Bowl on Dec. 30.
