Kansas WR Nigel King declaring for NFL Draft

Saturday January 3rd, 2015

Kansas wide receiver Nigel King has decided to declare for the 2015 NFL Draft, the school announced on Friday.

King played one season at Kansas after transferring from Maryland, where he spent three seasons. He was immediately eligible as a graduate transfer.

The 6-foot-3, 210-pound junior caught 29 passes for 518 yards and one touchdown for the Jayhawks.

"I felt like I was ready to come out," King said in a news release. "In my heart this is what I wanted to do. My time at Kansas was a great experience. I learned a lot from the coaches and met some really great people."

Kansas went 3-9 this season.
