Alabama's Landon Collins leaving early for NFL Draft
Thursday January 8th, 2015

Alabama junior safety Landon Collins will forego his final season of eligibility and enter the NFL draft, reports Yahoo! Sports’ Rand Getlin.

Collins' mother later confirmed to that her son was entering the draft. Collins -- who was All-America this season -- is considered to be a likely first-round pick in the draft, which will be held April 30 to May 2 in Chicago.

Collins recorded 103 total tackles, recovered two fumbles, broke up seven passes and co-led his team with three interceptions in 14 games this season. He earned first-team All-America honors from the Associated Press and helped lead Alabama to another SEC title and a spot in the College Football Playoff.
