South Carolina’s upcoming home game against the LSU Tigers has been moved from Columbia to Baton Rouge because of the flooding, LSU announced on Wednesday.

“On behalf of the South Carolina football team we want to do the right thing and do what is best for all concerned,” head football coach Steve Spurrier said in the university’s statement. “It appears the best thing is to travel to LSU. We look forward to the challenge and competing against the Tigers in Baton Rouge on Saturday.”

Officials from LSU and the SEC Conference are finalizing details for the game, which include kickoff time.

The Gamecocks were also considering moving the game to Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, according to The Charlotte Observer.
