The clip aired during a first-quarter timeout on the scoreboard, recognizing Kill, who decided to step away from coaching due to health concerns. He was not in attendance but received a standing ovation and cheers from the home crowd.
The 54-year-old Kill had been Minnesota’s coach since 2011, going 29-29. He owned a 156-102 career coaching record, including stops at Southern Illinois, Emporia State and Saginaw Valley State.
