Florida QB Will Grier loses NCAA drug test appeal
Grier remains suspended until the seventh game of the 2016 season, when the Gators host Missouri on Oct. 15.
Grier says he took an over-the-counter supplement containing an ingredient banned by the NCAA. Grier said he did not consult with the team medical staff before taking the supplement, which was detected in an NCAA drug test.
The freshman completed 65.8% of his passes this season, throwing 10 touchdowns and only three interceptions, leading Florida to a 6–0 start. Sophomore Treon Harris replaced Grier at quarterback and has gone 3-1 in the last four games.
