Alabama is pulling out all the stops in the national championship game.

After a field goal to tie the game at 24, the Crimson Tide recovered a surprise onside kick on the ensuring kickoff. The ball was popped into the air and recovered in front of an irate Dabo Swinney.

Bama took full advantage of the extra possession, with Jake Coker finding O.J. Howard for his second big touchdown catch of the game.

​The Crimson Tide led 31–24 after the score.
