Tuesday February 2nd, 2016

Four-star safety Deontay Anderson announced his commitment to Ole Miss on Wednesday in a video of him skydiving.

Anderson, an Under-Armour All-America game honoree, visited Ole Miss, Texas and LSU in January before coming to a decision. ranks him the 57th overall player in the class and the No. 4 safety in the country.

Here’s what had to say about Anderson:

“Anderson is well put together and a tremendous athlete at the safety position. He is able to stop and start quickly, giving him a good break on the ball to defend passes as well as the ability to come up quickly in run support. He is one of the player who just seems to have a nose for the football. He is often in the right place at the right time. Plays under control and moves with direct intent. Well tested against top-level competition.”

Anderson played varsity all four years at Manvel (Texas) High School and finished his high school career with 221 total tackles and one sack.
