ESPN’s college football opening weekend schedule released

ESPN’s 2016 college football opening weekend schedule was released Monday.

Headlining the slate is defending College Football Playoff national champion Alabama, who opens up against No. 19 USC on Sept. 3 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC. Also featured during opening weekend will be No. 1 Oklahoma, No. 3 Florida State, No. 4 Clemson, No. 6 LSU and No. 7 Michigan.

Saturday, Sept. 3

• Georgia Tech vs. Boston College (in Ireland), 7:30 a.m. ET, ESPN2

• No. 1 Oklahoma vs. No. 13 Houston, Noon ET, ABC

• Hawaii vs. No. 7 Michigan, Noon ET, ESPN

• No. 6 LSU vs. Wisconsin, 3:30 p.m. ET, ABC

• No. 21 Georgia vs. No. 20 UNC, 5:30 p.m. ET, ESPN

• No. 19 USC vs. No. 2 Alabama, 8 p.m. ET, ABC

• No. 4 Clemson vs. Auburn, 9 p.m. ET, ESPN
