A group of Baylor alumni and friends took out a full-page ad in the Austin American-Statesman on Sunday thanking former university president Ken Starr.
Starr resigned last week after an investigation found that Baylor failed to properly investigate sexual assault allegations against some of its students, including football players. Starr claimed not to know about the allegations until reports came out in 2015.
The ad, which refers readers to ThankKenStarr.com, thanks Starr for his “integrity” and “leadership” and “elevating Baylor University to new heights” in academics and athletics.
