After a 35–21 win over Alabama in the national championship game, Clemson coach Dabo Swinney gave an emotional speech to ESPN.

He said he told his team at halftime they would win, but he wasn’t sure how they would do it. Swinney claimed it came down to “love.”

Clemson is the national champion for the first time since the 1981 season.
