Alabama and Georgia will square off for the second time this year in the SEC Championship from Mercedes–Benz Stadium in Atlanta.

In January, Alabama stormed back from a 13-point deficit to beat Georgia 26–23 in the national title game on Tua Tagovailoa's 41-yard touchdown pass to DeVonta Smith in overtime. The Crimson Tide won their fifth national championship since 2009.

Alabama has won the last four games in the series, including a 32–29 victory in the 2012 SEC Championship Game.

The last Georgia victory over Alabama came Sept. 22, 2007 in Tuscaloosa. The 26–23 Georgia win came in Nick Saban's first season at Alabama.
