Jamaal Williams had 49 yards on 14 carries for BYU before being carted off the field.

BYU running back Jamaal Williams was carted off the field after suffering an apparent head injury during the Cougars' game  against rival Utah on Saturday.

With Utah holding a 13-3 lead with just under eight minutes left in the third quarter, Williams landed awkwardly on his head after a helmet-to-helmet contact with a defender. Medical personnel attended to Williams for several minutes before he was carted off the field on a stretcher.

ESPN reported that Williams would be transported to nearby Utah Valley Regional Medical Center, and he was moving his hands as he was transported to the hospital.
