Everett Golson, the quarterback who led Notre Dame to the 2012 BCS title game as a freshman, has been readmitted to school, the Fighting Irish announced on Friday.

Notre Dame coach Brian Kelly told ESPN's Matt Fortuna earlier this month that Golson would be returning to school soon. In May, Golson was dismissed for the fall semester due to a flagrant violation of the school’s honor code. The quarterback told SI.com’s Andy Staples in October that the violation resulted from “poor judgment on a test.”

Asked by Staples if he’d cheated on a test, Golson said, “Yeah, something like that.”
