Fresh off a stellar performance in the Orange Bowl, Clemson junior wide receiver Sammy Watkins will declare for the NFL draft, sources told Yahoo! Sports.

Watkins caught 16 passes for 227 yards and two touchdowns in the Tigers' 40-35 Orange Bowl win over Ohio State on Friday, taking home bowl MVP honors. Watkins had 101 receptions for 1,464 yards and 12 touchdowns during his junior season with Clemson.

Watkins burst onto the scene as a true freshman in 2011 by compiling 82 receptions for 1,219 yards and 12 touchdowns. He earned First Team All-America honors that year, the first freshman in Clemson history to do so. Watkins' production dropped in 2012 thanks to a two-game suspension to open the season and injuries later that fall; he managed only 57 receptions for 708 yards and three touchdowns as a sophomore.

After Friday night's win at the Orange Bowl, Watkins told reporters he planned to sit down with his family and coaches to discuss his future. Tigers' coach Dabo Swinney interrupted Watkins and joked, "It's going to be a short conversation -- a real short conversation if he's going to talk to me."
