One of the heroes of Florida State's BCS championship victory is headed to the NFL. Wide receiver Kelvin Benjamin has opted to forgo his redshirt junior season and declare for the 2014 draft, Tom Dangelo of the Palm Beach Post reports.

Benjamin caught the game-winning, two-yard touchdown pass from Jameis Winston that gave the Seminoles a 34-31 victory over Auburn in Monday's national title game. He was one of Winston's favorite targets on the season, finishing with 54 catches for 1,011 yards and a school-record 15 touchdown grabs. Benjamin surpassed the 100-yard receiving mark on three occasions in 2013, including during his nine-catch, 212-yard outing against Florida.

Benjamin compiled 84 catches for 1,506 yards and 19 touchdowns over his Florida State career.
