Syracuse remains No. 1 in AP poll while Wisconsin, Ohio St. and SMU enter the Top 25

Syracuse has held its spot as the No. 1 team in the country for the second week in a row. The Orange defeated Notre Dame and Clemson at home this week, but they face a tough challenge when they travel to Pittsburgh on Wednesday.

The top six teams each held their spots, with Arizona at No. 2, Florida at No. 3, Wichita State at No. 4, San Diego State at No. 5 and Villanova at No. 6. Kansas jumped one spot to No. 7, Duke returned to the top 10 at No. 8 and Michigan State and Cincinnati rounded out the top 10.

Wisconsin and Ohio State, who had slumped in Big Ten play, rejoined the poll at Nos. 21 and 22, respectively, after a one-week absence.

SMU also made its first appearance in the Top 25 since the 1984-85 season. Oklahoma, Oklahoma State and Gonzaga fell out of the Top 25.
