Indiana wide receiver Isaac Griffith was released from the hospital on Sunday after an accident while swimming on March 17, the Associated Press reports.

USA Today reported last Tuesday that a current had pulled Griffith away from a group of three friends while swimming in Sarasota, Fla.

During their swim, a strong current began to pull all four away from the shore. According to the report, Griffith "was taken approximately 15 yards past the swim buoy, where he started to go into distress."

Sarasota Memorial Hospital spokeswoman Kim Savage told the AP that Griffith was discharged on Sunday. The Fort Wayne, Ind., product and his family are set to return to Indiana, and he is expected to make a full recovery.
