Florida received a commitment from one of the country's most sought-after transfer in South Florida center John Egbunu, according to multiple media reports.

Egbunu chose the Gators over Virginia Tech and Michigan State and also had a visit to Georgetown. A 6-foot-10, 245-pound load inside, Egbunu was the subject of an NCAA inquiry into his eligibility earlier this season.

Egbunu, who was a top 100 recruit in 2013, was one of five South Florida players to transfer after coach Stan Heath was fired last month. He will not be eligible to play until the 2015-16. Florida already has 13 players on scholarship for next season, so the school most likely will have to free up a scholarship for Egbunu.

The Gators continue to collect prospects, having already added Kevarrius Hayes and KeVaughn Allen to the mix.

Egbunu averaged 7.4 points, 6.2 rebounds and 1.3 blocks per game for the Bulls, which went 12-20 and 3-15 in the American Athletic Conference last season.
