Ex-Missouri WR Dorial Green-Beckham joins OU football team

Former Missouri receiver Dorial Green-Beckham joined the University of Oklahoma football team, the school announced Thursday.

Green-Beckham can immediately enroll in classes and begin team activities and is eligible to play in games at Oklahoma in the 2015 season.

"We are pleased to welcome Dorial to the University of Oklahoma, where he is excited to continue his education and resume his playing career,” Stoops said. “Dorial understands the privilege and responsibilities of representing the Oklahoma Football program. He is a talented young man who is eager to get to work with the rest of our team in the classroom and on the field.”

Earlier the day, it was reported that Green-Beckham was on campus visiting coaches. 

Green-Beckham was suspended and then dismissed from the Missouri program in April after being the focus of an assault investigation by the Columbia, Missouri, police department. Green-Beckham was not arrested or charged in the case.

Green-Beckham caught 59 passes for 883 yards and 12 touchdowns as a sophomore last season, helping the Tigers win 12 games and the SEC East. Green-Beckham was the nation’s top prospect out of Hillcrest (Mo.) High in 2012.
