Baylor will unveil Robert Griffin III statue outside new stadium
Baylor University will unveil a statue of former quarterback and current NFL star Robert Griffin III this fall before its first game in the brand new McLane Stadium, according to David Ubben of Fox Sports Southwest.
The 9'6" sculpture of the Heisman winner will be placed outside the south end zone plaza of the new field and will be a part of a larger installation commemorating Griffin's time with the team.
While at Baylor, Griffin threw for 10,366 yards and 78 touchdowns. He rush for an additional 33 TDs.

The statue's design is being kept under wraps until its unveiling on Aug. 31 before the Bears take on SMU.
