Alabama Day at SEC Media Days features Australian fans, Little Debbie

An Alabama fan traveled from Australia for a chance to meet Nick Saban while another is prepared to feed the coach Little Debbie treats.

The hotel lobby at SEC Media Days when Alabama is scheduled to attend turns into fawning, celebrity worship with people wearing airbrushed shirts, bringing signs, donning their best National Champions shirts and all together bringing out the best in everyone.

This year is no different. With so many fans waiting for a glimpse of Nick Saban in the Hyatt in Hoover, Ala., things aren't quite hitting TMZ levels, but they're close. One fan brought a sign reading "I flew from Australia to meet Nick Saban." While that sign obviously took a lot of time and care, signs are big and cover a lot of surface area. When you're trying to take pictures of your favorite Tide players and coaches, the last thing you want is a sign in the way. Media days are serious business.

Hopefully that Australian fan gets his chance to meet Saban. Or at the very least, let's pray he used his airline miles to get there in the off chance he doesn't get his shot. While Hoover is no doubt a tourist destination and hotspot for anyone visiting the United States, it's a bit pricey. If things don't work out so well, he could eat away the sadness with some tasty Little Debbie treats.
